Nurturing Every Child to Flourish: Our Vision & Aims

St. Oswald’s CE Primary School Vision – At St Oswald’s CE Primary School, Mollington, our vision is rooted in the words of Jesus:

“Love your neighbour as yourself.” (Luke 10:27)

This simple yet powerful teaching shapes everything we do—how we treat one another, how we learn, and how we live together as a school community. We believe every child is unique and loved by God, and we are committed to nurturing their spiritual, emotional, and academic growth.

Our School Vision:

Our School Motto:

Our Motto:

Safe in Your hands Lord, we Love, Laugh, Learn.

This motto reflects our commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment where every child feels valued, can enjoy their learning, and develop a love for life and others.

Our Aim:

Our aim is to inspire children to become independent, co-operative, and reflective learners who are motivated, challenged, and engaged through a fun, creative, and stimulating curriculum. We want every child to thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

We pursue this vision and aim by continually raising standards, improving the quality of learning, and providing rich experiences that prepare children for life beyond school.

Our Objectives:

To achieve our vision and aim, we are committed to the following:

  • Promote strong partnerships across the school community—among pupils, staff, parents, governors, and the wider church—to build a culture of shared leadership, teamwork, and mutual support.
  • Ensure high standards of teaching and learning in an exciting and stimulating environment.
  • Provide opportunities for excellence and enjoyment through a rich, broad, and balanced curriculum.
  • Enrich each child’s experience through special events, themed days/weeks, trips, visitors, and wider learning opportunities.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and well-managed environment where children feel confident, happy, and ready to learn.
  • Promote an inclusive school culture, underpinned by Christian values, where every individual is welcomed, respected, and valued—regardless of race, religion, gender, or ability.
  • Foster positive behaviour and relationships, helping children understand the importance of responsibility, kindness, and self-control.
  • Develop a caring, friendly ethos where children are well-mannered and grow in tolerance, respect, compassion, and consideration for others.
  • Encourage active citizenship, by involving children in local community initiatives.
  • Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the Church at parish and diocesan level.
