Nature-Led Learning: Our Forest School Adventure

Our Forest School at St. Oswald’s CE Primary School is led by Miss Hannah, who brings a wealth of experience and a genuine love of the outdoors. She is passionate about helping children connect with nature, while developing valuable skills that complement all areas of the National Curriculum.

Learning Beyond the Classroom Walls

In the 2025–2026 academic year, Reception children will enjoy a weekly Forest School session with Miss Hannah. Pupils in Years 1–6 will take part in Forest School across two half-terms each year, totalling 12 weeks of exciting outdoor learning.

Every session is carefully planned to be engaging, hands-on, and fun, while also reinforcing and extending what children learn in the classroom. Forest School provides opportunities for exploration, teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity — all in a natural setting that inspires curiosity and confidence.
